Lynne Bargewell I believe that it is in our nature, and indeed all of life’s nature to grow to fulfil our potential. Each and every one of us can be motivated to be the best we can be. However sometimes this process becomes blocked or distorted by things that happen to us in our lives. Sometimes these difficulties come from unresolved experiences in our past, sometimes from our present circumstances.

I work to create a relationship with you where you feel listened to and accepted and that you experience me as being real, open and genuine. This creates a place of safety for you to open up and explore the problems you have been experiencing.

Counselling is often about talking about how you are feeling. If talking is difficult it can also be helpful to explore other ways of expressing yourself maybe by exploring your dreams or by more creative ways such as writing or drawing.

I qualified in 2002 with an MA in Counselling from Durham University. I worked for 20 years in the NHS as a Counsellor in a number of GP practices in County Durham, also for a time at The University Counselling Service in Durham. I now work in private practice where I offer short term and long term work.

I am a qualified Clinical Supervisor with an interest in offering an experiential, creative approach to supervision. Please see my website for more information.
